A clinical trial protocol and a patient leaflet can describe the same drug and need to be written as if by two different people. I work across clinical trials, medical reports, and pharmaceutical material spanning psychiatry, neurology, dermatology, and digital health, from expert-facing study protocols and psychometric scales to patient-facing leaflets and informed consent forms. I have worked with leading international pharmaceutical companies on drug trials and on material related to the effectiveness of new treatments and medications, as well as on regulatory submissions and compliance documentation.

Specialists and regulatory bodies need language that holds up against established field terminology. The text needs to be precise and consistent. Patients reading the same drug's leaflet need the same facts broken into plain, manageable steps they can act on. The two registers cannot bleed into each other, and they often have to be produced for the same project, sometimes the same week.
